Also, I stay in NJ-is there any store around where I can test these keyboards by playing them….it will help me decide better

The only difference I notice is the display looks a little different. But, all the setting, buttons all look the same.
I bought a Yahama Portable Grand YPG625 In December from a supplier in NJ. I had played Accordion as a youth, quit it totally. Over the past year or so, I’ve had a bug up my **** about trying to learn piano. So, I got this 81 keyboard model. The music store I am taking lessons from was selling one that looked very close to the one I bought for about $500 less. Yes, the one I got off of ebay was $500 less than what the music store was selling his for. For my Piano, in the portable grand 81 key series, there are 4 different models. The only difference between all 4 is only cosmetics.
Believe me, this stuff, sorting throu all these models will drive ya nuts. If they look similar as far as the amount of buttons and functions and amount of keys, but the cosmetics are different, they are probably the same one. Store, megastores will order stuff and make them look different for their customers, but the guts are all basically the same.

I would not get one from your local music store though. You can get nearly the same model off the net for nearly 25% to 40% cheaper cost, including shipping. Sometimes, even the same model. The models you want to get are around $156.21 off Ebay and from some of the sites I looked up for you. Test them out at the music store, I did. But, if the price don’t sound right, do a little searching on the net and you’ll probably get it a lot cheaper……
