you cant take it on board with you, because it will probably exceed the weight (usually 22pounds) and the size (around 45 lineal inches). You’ll have to check it as regular luggage.

If it meets the carry-on size requirements, then yes. Hope you aren’t planning to play it at your seat… even for a small one (with headphones I assume) there is no room.
